How to say “delivering” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِذَا فَرَغُوا أَخَذَ هَذَا الْإِمَامُ الْغَرِيبُ الشَّأْنُ فِي إِيرَادِ خُطْبَتِهِ عَجَلًا مُبْتَدِرًا،
When they had finished, this imam of uncommon standing hurriedly began to deliver his sermon.
إِيرَادِ — delivering. A verbal noun naming the act of delivering/presenting, governed by the 'in' before it so it carries the genitive. It heads a possessive pairing with 'his sermon' that follows. Arabic uses this noun-of-action where English would say 'to deliver'.
