فَإِذَا فَرَغُوا أَخَذَ هَذَا الْإِمَامُ الْغَرِيبُ الشَّأْنُ فِي إِيرَادِ خُطْبَتِهِ عَجَلًا مُبْتَدِرًا،
When they had finished, this imam of uncommon standing hurriedly began to deliver his sermon.
الشَّأْنِ — standing. A noun 'standing/affair', the owning second term of 'uncommon of standing', hence the genitive. It completes the epithet, the construct meaning 'remarkable in his condition'. The of-pairing carries the relation with no separate word, marking him as singular in rank.
