وَلَا يَزَالُونَ يَتَنَاوَبُونَ آيَاتًا مِنْ سُوَرٍ مُخْتَلِفَاتٍ إِلَى أَنْ يَتَكَامَلُوا قِرَاءَةً،
And they continue taking turns reciting verses from different chapters until their recitation is complete.
مُخْتَلِفَاتٍ — different. A plural adjective 'different/various' modifying 'chapters'. It agrees with its noun in number, the genitive case, and indefiniteness. The agreement binds it to the noun, together giving 'different chapters', stressing the variety the reciters ranged across.
