How to say “each” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هَيْهَاتَ، رَحَلَ كُلٌّ بِمَا فِيهِ، فَلَيْتَ اَلذُّنُوبَ إِذَا تَخَلَّتْ خَلَتْ
Alas! Everything has departed with what is in it; I wish that the sins, when they depart, would vanish.
كُلٌّ — each. A quantifier noun ('each/every one') serving as the subject of 'departed', placed after its verb in normal order. Used by itself like this it means 'everyone/everything', so the clause says each one departed.
