Arabic vocabulary
مستدل is how you say “evidenced” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
ثم ذكر الأمر المستدل عليه والمعاد بقوله ﴿إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ﴾
Then He mentioned the matter being evidenced and the return, with His saying, 'Indeed, He is able to bring him back.'
المُسْتَدَلَّ — being evidenced. A passive participle describing 'the matter' as the thing that is argued for. It agrees with the matter in being definite, taking its own 'the', and in being the object, sharing the accusative ending; the passive sense is that the matter receives the proving, not does it.
