رَجْعِهِ — bring him back. A verbal noun 'returning him', the action treated as a noun, with an attached 'him' ending as its object. It sits in the genitive because the preceding preposition governs it, and the whole word means God's act of bringing him back.
From: Creating Life from Nothing →أي على رجعه إليه يوم القيامة كما هو قادر على خلقه من ماء هذا شأنه

رَجْعِهِ — return him. A verbal noun 'his returning', the action named as a noun, with an attached 'him' ending as its object. The preceding preposition keeps it in the genitive ending.
From: Creating Life from Nothing →فغضب جحا ورجع إلى العطار

ورجع — and went back. The connector 'and' fused to a past-tense verb, 'and went back', carrying its own 'he' subject and continuing the action chain.
