Arabic vocabulary
How to say “expanded” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذَا يتَعَلَّق بِهِ أُمُور جليلة قد بسطناها وشرحناها فِي غير هَذَا الْموضع
And concerning this, there are significant matters that we have expanded upon and explained elsewhere.
بَسَطْنَاهَا — we expanded them. This is a past-tense verb with 'we' built into its ending, plus an attached 'them' as its object pointing back to the matters. So one word carries the doer, the deed, and the object, reading 'we expounded them'.
