How to say “headed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَسَأَلَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا خَرَجَ وَوَجَّهَ هَا هُنَا،
Then he asked about the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and they said, "He went out and headed this way."
وَوَجَّهَ — and headed. The wa- ('and') links a second action to the first; the verb means 'headed/directed himself' and carries a built-in 'he'. The conjunction simply chains the two movements.
