How to say “His Book” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى فِي كِتَابِهِ
As the Exalted said in His Book.
كِتَابه — His Book. The noun 'book' with a possessor 'His' fused onto its end, the owner being God. The suffix replaces the separate word English needs and also makes the noun definite, so no 'the' is added. Sitting after the preposition 'in', it carries the genitive ending.
From: The Four Inner Guards →وقد أمر الله في كتابه بطاعته وطاعة رسوله وطاعة أولي الأمر من المؤمنين،
And Allah has commanded in His Book obedience to Him, obedience to His Messenger, and obedience to those in authority among the believers.
كُتُبِهِ — His Book. A noun with the attached -hi (His) on the end marking the owner, and it sits in the genitive because the preposition 'in' governs it. The -hi points back to Allah as the possessor, giving 'in His Book'.
