How to say “home of him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
أو أرجعه إلى منزله الذي خرج منه بما نال من أجر،
or bringing him back to his home from which he departed with what he has gained of reward,
مَنْزِلِهِ — his home. This is 'home/lodging' with 'his' attached, 'his home', the object of 'to'. The suffix marks him as its owner; it names where he is brought back, and the possessor is fused onto the noun.
From: Paradise for Those Who Strive →جَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرِ ـ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ـ إِلَى أَبِي فِي مَنْزِلِهِ،
Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, came to my father in his house.
مَنْزِلِهِ — his house. A noun with the pronoun '-hi' (his) fused on, so one word says 'his house'; the possessor reaches back to the father just mentioned. Sitting under the 'in' preposition, it carries the 'of'-style ending that preposition requires. Tracking that attached 'his' to the right owner is part of reading the line.
