Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I fall” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فأنطلق، فأتي تحت العرش، فأقع ساجداً لربي، ثم يفتح الله علي من محامده،
So I set out, I come beneath the Throne and fall prostrate before my Lord; then God opens to me some of His praiseworthy attributes.
فَأَقَعُ — so I fall. Once more 'fa-' chains the next action and the first-person present verb carries the 'I' subject, so 'so I fall'. The prefix keeps the prostration in sequence with the arrival.
