How to say “meet” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هكذا يلتقي أصلان إخلاصُ العبادةِ لله وحده، واتباعُ الرسولِ فيما شرع
This is how two roots meet: the sincerity of worship for Allah alone and following the Messenger in what he has prescribed.
يَلْتَقِي — they meet. Present 'meet, come together', subject inside. The form (with -ta-) gives mutual meeting; though two roots meet, the verb stays singular-masculine, agreeing loosely ahead of its dual subject.
