هكذا يلتقي أصلان إخلاصُ العبادةِ لله وحده، واتباعُ الرسولِ فيما شرع
This is how two roots meet: the sincerity of worship for Allah alone and following the Messenger in what he has prescribed.
الرَّسُولِ — the Messenger. Genitive owner of 'following' — 'the Messenger'. al- makes it the specific Prophet whose example is followed.

الرَّسُولُ — the Messenger. The '-u' ending marks this as the subject, arriving after its verb in Arabic's usual verb-first order. The noun itself is a 'one who is sent' formation, used as the title of the Prophet.

رَسُولِ — from the Messenger. This is the owner-half of 'caller of the Messenger' and at the same time the first half of the further pairing 'Messenger of Allah'.
