ومن تيمم لنفلٍ لا يَستبيح به الفرضَ على المشهور،
One who performs Tayammum for a supererogatory prayer cannot perform an obligatory prayer with it according to the prevalent opinion.
الْفَرْضَ — an obligatory prayer. 'the obligatory [prayer],' in the -a form as object — what he may NOT perform on this tayammum. Intending only the optional, he cannot reach up to the required prayer.

If done earlier, it is invalid for both the obligatory prayer and the time-bound voluntary prayer.
الْفَرْضِ — the obligatory. 'the obligatory [prayer],' in the -i form after 'for.' The early tayammum is void FOR the obligatory prayer — it cannot serve it.
