How to say “obligation” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فلا يجمعُ بين صلاتينِ مفروضتينِ بتيممٍ واحدٍ، ويجوز أن يُضمَّ إلى الفريضةِ نوافلُ معها
Two obligatory prayers cannot be combined with a single dry ablution, but it is permissible to add optional prayers to it.
مَفْرُوضَتَيْنِ — obligatory. An adjective, 'obligatory,' carrying the SAME dual '-ayn' to agree with 'two prayers.' Arabic makes an adjective match its noun in number too, so a dual noun takes a dual adjective — both end alike.
