Arabic vocabulary
How to say “plant” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هَا هُنَا أَمَرَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَرْكُزَ الْرَّايَةَ،
Here the Messenger of God commanded you to plant the banner.
تَرْكُزَ — plant. A present-form verb 'plant', pushed into its goal-marking (subjunctive) shape by the 'to' before it, shown by the '-a' ending. The shift signals that the planting is the intended result of the command, not something already done.
