How to say “proof” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَدَلِيلُ هَذَا أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَمْ يَبْعَثْ نَبِيًّا قَطُّ إِلَّا وَهُوَ كَرِيمٌ
The proof of this is that God Almighty has never sent a prophet except that he was generous.
وَدَلِيلُ — and proof. This joins the linking 'and' to a noun meaning proof; the 'and' ties the new point to the prior claim. This noun heads an 'of' pairing with the demonstrative after it: 'the proof of this'.
