الْبِرِّ — righteousness. A noun 'piety / dutiful goodness', the owner completing 'the milk of righteousness', genitive, definite. The wholesome nourishment of the soul.

وَبِرِّهِ — and His kindness. A second item of what is known, joined by 'and' and kept in the genitive under 'the knowledge of': 'His benevolence'. The fused 'His' makes it God's kindness, shown to the servant.
