How to say “saved him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُ بِي مِنَ النَّارِ
So the Messenger of Allah said, "Praise be to Allah, who saved him through me from the Fire."
أَنْقَذَهُ — saved him. This is a completed-action verb with the 'him' object suffixed onto its end, so verb and object ride in one word. Built on a causative pattern, the verb means to actively cause rescue, not just to be saved. The attached -hu points back to the man spoken of, the one delivered from the fire.
