Arabic vocabulary
فَوَاللَّهِ is how you say “so by Allah” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فَوَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُمْ قَاتَلُوكَ
By Allah, I heard the Messenger of Allah say, "Indeed, they will kill you."
فَوَاللَّهِ — so by Allah. A fa- of sequence fused with an oath-wa on the divine name — 'and so, by God'. The fa- chains it on; the wa- swears by God and forces the name into the 'of' (genitive) shape, opening a solemn report.
