Arabic vocabulary
أَحْدَثَ is how you say “cause impurity” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
ولو أحدثَ بعد أخذِ التراب قبل مسحِ الوجه بَطَلَ الأخذُ ولزمه النقلُ ثانيةً
If one experiences an impurity after taking the dust but before wiping the face, the taking is invalidated, and he must take it again.
أَحْدَثَ — he experiences impurity. A verb meaning 'he produced a hadath' — did something that breaks ritual purity. The case-verb under 'if'; its timing is then pinned down by the two time-phrases that follow.
