خِتْمَةٍ — a completion. An indefinite noun (no al- 'the') for a recitation-completion gathering, sitting in the genitive because 'in' governs it. Its indefinite form presents it as 'some completion', any such occasion, rather than a specific one. It is the place-object that the preposition 'in' attaches to the verb.
