وَقَالَ النَّبِي الْحَلَال بَين وَالْحرَام بَين وَبَين ذَلِك امور مُشْتَبهَات لَا يعلمهُنَّ كثير من النَّاس
The Prophet said, 'The lawful is clear, and the unlawful is clear, and between them are ambiguous matters that many people do not know.'
الحَلَالُ — the lawful. This noun carries 'the' and is the subject of its clause, with the plain subject ending. It names the lawful as the topic the next word describes, opening the first of the saying's balanced statements.
