How to say “messengers” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وهم أصحاب اليمين الذين آمنوا بالله وصدقوا المرسلين وسلكوا غير سبيل المجرمين
And they are the companions of the right hand who believed in God and confirmed the messengers and followed paths other than those of the criminals.
الْمُرْسَلِينَ — the messengers. This is a passive participle in the plural carrying 'the', a doer-noun meaning 'the ones sent', that is, the messengers. Arabic builds this from a verb to name those who undergo being sent; it is the object of the affirming verb.
