يَمِينِهِ — his right. 'Right (side)' with '-hi' (his) attached, genitive after 'on' — 'to his right'. Where Abu Bakr would move to guard him.

الْيَمِينِ — of the right hand. This noun carries 'the' and is owned by 'companions' before it: the companions of the right hand. The two nouns stand directly together for 'of', and this owning noun takes the genitive ending with no separate word for 'of'.
