وَقَالَ تَعَالَى الْحَدِيد يَا أَيهَا الَّذين آمنُوا اتَّقوا الله وآمنوا بِرَسُولِهِ يُؤْتكُم كِفْلَيْنِ من رَحمته وَيجْعَل لكم نورا تمشون بِهِ
And the Exalted said (in Sūrah al‑Hadīd): “O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will grant you a double portion of His mercy and will make for you a light by which you will walk.”
رَحْمَتِهِ — of His mercy. A noun 'mercy' with 'His' attached, 'His mercy', governed by the partitive preposition into the owned form. The 'His' points back to Allah; it names the whole the portions come from.

رَحمته — His mercy. The noun 'mercy' with a possessor 'His' fused on the end, the owner being God. The suffix supplies the owner and makes it definite. Governed by the preceding 'into', it carries the 'of' (genitive) ending, completing the destination of the prayer.
