How to say “of the supplication” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذِهِ إِحْدَى الْفَوَائِدِ فِي دُعَاءِ الْقُنُوتِ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ أَيْ أَدْخِلْنِي فِي هَذِهِ الزُّمَرَةِ،
And this is one of the benefits in the standing supplication: O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, that is, admit me into this group.
دُعَاءِ — of the supplication. This noun 'supplication' is governed into the genitive by the preceding 'in' and also heads an 'of' pairing with the next word, so it is the first term of 'the supplication of standing'. As the head it drops its own article, taking definiteness from the word it owns. The bare juxtaposition carries the 'of'.
