How to say “You guided” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذِهِ إِحْدَى الْفَوَائِدِ فِي دُعَاءِ الْقُنُوتِ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ أَيْ أَدْخِلْنِي فِي هَذِهِ الزُّمَرَةِ،
And this is one of the benefits in the standing supplication: O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, that is, admit me into this group.
هَدَيْتَ — You guided. A completed-action verb 'You guided', with the 'You' (addressing God) carried in its ending. It forms the relative clause attached to the preceding 'whoever': 'those whom You have guided'. The second-person ending keeps the address to God consistent through the prayer.
