Arabic vocabulary
How to say “opening” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَابُهَا مِنْ جَرِيدٍ حَتَّى قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَاجَتَهُ،
And its opening was from palm branches, until the Messenger of God had finished his need.
وَبَابُهَا — and its opening. The wa- ('and') opens it and the noun carries an attached feminine 'its', 'and its opening', the 'its' pointing back to the well. One word bundles the conjunction, the noun, and the possessor.
