Arabic vocabulary
سَبِيلِي is how you say “path of mine” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم تضمن الله لمن خرج في سبيله لا يخرجه إلا جهاد في سبيلي،
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Allah guarantees for the one who goes out in His path, driven solely by striving for My cause,
سَبِيلِي — My cause. This is 'path' with 'my' attached, 'my path', the object of 'in', spoken in God's own voice. The first-person suffix shifts the idiom to 'for My sake'; the possessor is fused onto the noun.
