  And He, the Exalted, said, "And give glad tidings to the patient ones, those who, when a misfortune befalls them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.'"

  الصَّابِرِينَ — the patient. A definite plural doer-noun ('the patient') as the object of the command - whom to give tidings to. The sound-plural ending here is the accusative shape marking it as the verb's target.
