فَقُلْتُ هَذَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فَقَالَ اِئْذِنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ
I said, "This is Umar ibn al‑Khattab; he is asking permission." He said, "Permit him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise."
اِئْذِنْ — permit. A command verb 'permit/admit', in the imperative shape giving an order; its doer is the listener 'you'. Arabic marks the order by this distinct command form.

إِئْذِنْ — permit. A command form, an order given straight to 'you' with that addressee built into the verb's shape rather than spoken as a word. It launches the instruction the speaker is issuing.
