How to say “worshipper” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَمَا أَن العابد الزَّاهِد قد يكون لما فِي قلبه من بِدعَة ونفاق مسخوطا عِنْد الله وَرَسُوله
Just as a devout worshipper may, because of the innovation and hypocrisy in his heart, be disliked by Allah and His Messenger.
العَابِدَ — the worshipper. This noun carries 'the' and its ending is the accusative because the 'that' particle before it forces that case on its subject. It names the worshipper as the topic of the reported clause.
