وكلمت الناس في المهد ، اشفع لنا إلى ربك، ألا ترى ما نحن فيه؟
And you spoke to the people in the cradle, "Intercede with your Lord for us; do you not see what we are in?"
وَكَلَّمَتْ — and you spoke to. A past verb in a doubled-middle (intensive) pattern that means 'spoke to' rather than plain 'said', read here with a 'you' subject; the form's strengthened middle is what gives the sense of addressing people directly.
