Arabic vocabulary
How to say “your Lord” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وكلمت الناس في المهد ، اشفع لنا إلى ربك، ألا ترى ما نحن فيه؟
And you spoke to the people in the cradle, "Intercede with your Lord for us; do you not see what we are in?"
رَبِّكَ — your Lord. The attached '-ka' makes this 'your Lord', binding lordship to the addressee; the noun also takes the form the preposition requires. Possessor and case ride on one word.
