Arabic vocabulary
How to say “bliss” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَإِن حفظته مَعَ إصْلَاح الْوَقْتَيْنِ اللَّذين قبله وَبعده بِمَا ذكرت نجوت وفزت بالراحة واللذة وَالنَّعِيم
And if you preserve it, along with correcting the periods before and after as I mentioned, you succeed and attain comfort, pleasure, and bliss.
وَالنَّعِيمِ — and bliss. The third item won, in the genitive from the same unrepeated 'bi-'. The noun names lasting blessedness, the crown of the list: comfort, pleasure and abiding bliss.
From: Repentance and Resolve →فمن زرع في هذه الدنيا طاعة، حصد في الآخرة الجنة والنعيم
Whoever planted obedience in this world will harvest paradise and bliss in the hereafter.
وَالنَّعِيمَ — and bliss. The wa- adds a second object, 'and bliss', linked to Paradise, so it too stands in the object case with 'the'. It joins the first object as part of the harvest reaped, matching it in case and definiteness.
