وَقَالَ تَعَالَى الْبَقَرَة الله ولي الَّذين آمنُوا يخرجهم من الظُّلُمَات إِلَى النُّور
And the Exalted said (in Sūrah al‑Baqarah): “Allah is the guardian (walī) of those who have believed; He brings them out from the darknesses into the light.”
يُخْرِجُهُمْ — He brings them out. Present-tense verb, 'He brings them out', with 'them' attached as object. The unstated 'He' is God; the present form states an ongoing or promised act, and the 'them' points to the believers.
