How to say “example” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
الثالث أنه لم يأت لهذا المعنى في القرآن نظير في موضع واحد ولا أنكره أحد حتى يقيم سبحانه الدليل عليه
The third is that there is no counterpart to this meaning in any part of the Quran, nor has anyone denied it to necessitate that God establishes evidence for it.
نَظِيرٌ — counterpart. This noun 'a parallel/counterpart' is the delayed subject of 'has not come', indefinite, 'no counterpart'. It arrives after the verb and its phrases, the normal order placing the indefinite subject late.
From: Ten Proofs of Resurrection →الَّتِي لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا نَظِيرٌ فِي الْعَالَمِ الْإِسْلَامِيِّ
which had no equal in the Islamic world.
نَظِيرٌ — equal. A noun 'equal/match', the thing whose existence is denied, so it functions as the subject of the existential 'was not' and takes the subject-style ending. The whole clause says no such match existed for the sessions, and this noun names what was absent.
