Connect the meaning with an image, a story, and a place in the Quran or the margin;
وَحِكَايَةٍ — and a story. 'and a story,' joined by 'and,' the 'bi-' carrying over — the second hook. Linking meaning to a STORY gives it a narrative handle, easier to recall.

حِكَايَتِهِ — his story. A noun with a possessor pronoun stuck on its end, 'story' plus 'his'. The attached 'his' points back to the man named just before, marking the story as belonging to him, and the noun sits under the 'in' that governs it.
