How to say “the Messenger” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كما قال تعالى ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ
As Allah the Exalted said: O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you; then if you dispute about anything...
الرَّسُولَ — the Messenger. The 'the' makes this noun definite, 'the Messenger', and it stands as the object of the command 'obey', so it takes the accusative ending. It is the second link in the obey-chain.
