How to say “come” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
فَانْطَلَقَ الأَخُ حَتَّى قَدِمَهُ وَسَمِعَ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ،
Then the brother set out until he reached him and heard his words.
قَدِمَهُ — he came to him. A past verb with the attached 'him' as its object, the person reached, and its 'he' subject built in. So one word names the arriving, who arrived, and who was reached, the limit the 'until' pointed to.

Until he arrived in Mecca.
قَدِمَ — he arrived. A bare past verb meaning he arrived, its 'he' subject understood from the narrative and carried inside the verb. No separate pronoun is needed.

قَدِمَ — he arrived. A past verb with 'he' inside, meaning to arrive or come to a place. It is the event of the time-clause — the thing that, once it happened, triggered what follows.

قَدِمَ — he arrived. Past-tense verb 'arrived', third person, whose doer is not inside it but named in the words that follow. Arabic leads with the verb and lets the subject arrive after, which is what happens across this clause.

قَدِمْتَ — you arrived. Past-tense verb with a -ta ending fixing the doer as 'you' (male). Paired with the 'just now' before it, it reads as 'you have only now arrived'.
