If the light of his righteous deeds prevails, his balance becomes heavy, and his place in paradise is known by his deeds, just as those who attend Friday prayers know their homes upon leaving.
الْجُمُعَةِ — Friday. Genitive owner of 'people' — 'the Friday congregation'. The weekly gathering; 'the folk of Friday' are its attendees.

Among the heedless was one who delivered the Friday sermon,
الْجُمُعَةَ — the Friday. This is 'the Friday', definite with 'al-', here standing for the Friday congregational prayer. It takes the accusative ending as the direct object of 'delivers a sermon on', the thing his preaching was about. Arabic lets the bare name of the day carry this object role.

The Messenger of Allah said: The five prayers, Friday to Friday, and Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for what is between them, if the major sins are avoided.
وَالْجُمْعَةُ — and Friday. A fused 'and' plus 'the Friday (prayer)', adding another item to the subject list. Its 'the' marks it a specific known occasion joined to the prayers already named.
